Most Tuesdays we head over to the Community Center of Saint Bernard Parish where we cook and serve dinner. On Tuesday February 26th our volunteers cooked up one of the best meals the residents had eaten there. Special thanks to Eli for heading the kitchen crew.
Our Canadian volunteers worked very hard during the day and had a great time seeing the fun side of New Orleans at night. On Monday February 25th OnSite organized a haunted history tour of the French Quarter in the evening. As the tour ended in Jackson Square the group came across this wonderful street performer who plays music on water goblets.
Tuesday we all went to The Boot in the Garden District and had a blast.
As a thank you to our wonderful UWO volunteers we showed up on their last day with crawfish and Mardi Gras beads. Of course we gave them a lesson on the NOLA way to eat crawfish! Thank you to Amy, Alex, Nabila, Jason, Syeeda, Charu, Biju, Matt, Sneha, Charlotte, Brandon, Jordan, Danny, Jonny, Meredith, Lauren, Danielle, Katina, Shannon, Heather, Jenny and Jakob.

On Thursday February 28th, 2008 our volunteers from the University of Western Ontario helped to gut a house owned by Rev. D.K. Smith. Great job guys!

Throughout the week of February 25th-28th, 2008 our group of volunteers from the University of Western Ontario worked at Valerie’s house on Van Ave. in Gentilly. They helped Scott, our volunteer contractor, with hanging, taping, mudding and sanding sheet rock.
On Monday February 25th, 2008 the Canadians invaded the Lower 9th Ward with OnSite Relief. A group of 22 students from the University of Western Ontario came to volunteer and made the week one of our best, so far.

Thursday February 21st Cargill Employees from across the US volunteered with us and helped finish the gutting of a home on Deslonde in the Lower 9th Ward. They were such great workers that they finished in about 4 hours and filled 2 dumpsters to the brim.
